Gatekeeper of the Promised Land
Yasser Claud-Ennin is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist based in London. His work spans visual arts, branding, fashion, product design, and graphic design.
"Gatekeeper of the Promised Land" explores the role of youth in shaping the future, highlighting the sacrifices of one generation to create opportunities for the next. Using colour inversion to symbolise the mystery of migration, particularly from Africa to the West, the artwork contrasts history with promise. The child at the centre stands between past and future, embodying both heritage and hope. This piece blends West African textiles with portraiture, inviting reflection on migration, identity, and the doors we open for future generations.
All prints are made in London, UK.
