Untitled III

Aisha Olamide Seriki is a Nigerian multi-disciplinary artist in London, specialising in fine art photography and sculpture. Her practice is holistic and embodied, subverting formal photographic traditions.

Using Narcissus as a foundation, this photo series explores societal attitudes toward self-love. "Untitled" references the Greek myth of Echo and Narcissus, as well as Western art history, to comment on modern perceptions of self-love. It challenges the notion that self-love is a fatal flaw and presents it as an act of liberation, a way to break free from the constraints of modern societal conditioning.
